Privacy Policy

Last updated 16 September 2026

The short version. Your pets' records stay on your device and in your own private iCloud. We cannot see them.

What stays on your device

Everything you record about your pets is stored on your iPhone:

If iCloud is turned on, this data also syncs to your own private iCloud database so it is available on your other devices. That database belongs to your Apple Account. We have no access to it and Apple does not provide it to us. You can turn iCloud sync off inside Pett at any time.

What we receive

Account information

If you create an account, we use Firebase Authentication to sign you in with Apple, Google, or an email address and password. This gives us your email address, any display name you provide, and an account identifier. We use it to sign you in and for nothing else.

Subscription information

If you subscribe to Care+, RevenueCat processes the subscription and receives a purchase record and an anonymous app identifier. Apple handles the payment. We never see your card details.

Crash reports

We use Sentry to learn when the app crashes. A crash report describes the technical state of the app at the moment it failed: device model, iOS version, and the location in our code. Sentry is configured to remove pet names, health information and account identifiers before a report is sent.

What we do not do

Permissions

Deleting your data

Deleting a pet or a record in the app removes it from your device and from your iCloud. To delete your account, open Settings in Pett and choose account deletion, which removes your account from Firebase Authentication. Records held only on your device and in your iCloud are removed when you delete the app and clear its iCloud data.

Children

Pett is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update this page and the date above.
